NOT so FUNNY in person

So we have all been there... sitting on our couches with a bowl of pop corn enjoying the wonderful Sunday edition of America's Funnies Home Videos. Laughing our guts out when a biker hits a dog running out into the road.. both of them flying in opposite directions.. At our home we even rewind those ones and watch them again and again..

Yesterday I get a phone call from my Matty. Matt and his Dad were up Cottonwood fixing fence.. (NOT IN UTAH) the one just up past Treasureton... anyway so they took up a couple dogs. Rusty which is Jody's dog all well behaved and mature.. you know he has been groomed by being a farm dog for many years.. then there was Tank. oh for Tankerous Tank.. DUMB DOG!! If he is not jumping over the fence to get out of the "dog yard" he is chasing horses OUT of the open fence making for a LOT of work for Matty. So really what else could this DOG be capable of???
Well as Matt and Brad were working away fixing fence a guy on a motor bike came cruising by.. GOING a pretty good speed. For some reason this SETS Tank off. He never chases anything like cars.. just lazy I guess. Well something about a motor bike strikes his interest. Tank goes darting out into the road RIGHT as this poor guy is ZOOMING by. the front tire strikes Tank sending in into a wild spin into the back end of the bike.. this in turn causes the anticipated CRASH!!! SO back to my PHONE call... Hey I'm just sitting at the HOSPITAL. Tank caused a crash today and this guy is hurting pretty bad. My thoughts were GREAT we are going to get our butts sued and we don't have very good insurance.. and AHHH too many thoughts I got overwhelmed and mad fast. Matt told me don't worry it's going to be okay. He was going way fast and even said he knew he should have slowed down when he could see us working..
The driver of this motor bike is doing okay. He has a separated shoulder and some road rash.. lucky for him he was wearing a helmet or things would have been a LOT worse. I hope he gets all healed up! He is a familiar family friend of the Shumways. His Dad is Ray Sant. Ray has been a step in Grandpa for Matt. So at least it happened to someone we know. Then we can check up on him make sure he is healing okay!

ONE more side note, the TWO rooms in our basement are going to be a big family room after TOMORROW!!! YAY!! I will truly madly deeply try to get pictures up! SO excited things are coming together!! and scheduled the spriknler system guy to come!! wishful thinking that he would NOT be busy and be able to come NOW, but like everything else I will HAVE to WAIT!!
